Feeling Blue

Sorry for the lack of post yesterday I was extremely fluey and under the weather in the evening. I had an amazing day with my boyfriend yesterday, we went to town and wandered around the shops that weren't at Cribbs Causeway when I went with my friend the other day; Primark and Urban Outfitters. Nothing really caught my eye in Urban Outfitters which was a little disappointing. As with Primark, I've been seeing people posting a lot of two pieces on Instagram from Primark so thought I'd go on the hunt but had no luck. Did not see a single two piece in there.. I think a trip to London soon is on the cards!

Yesterday I wore my amazing pastel blue short sleeved jumper layered with a white sheer short sleeved shirt underneath. Both from New Look. To finish my look of I paired them with black disco pants from Missguided and my white (were once white) Vans. To top it all off I put my beautiful pastel pink coat on which I also bought from New Look.

Pastel Pink

Today I wore my brand new pastel pink coat which I treated myself to yesterday. I absolutely love this and is by far my best buy in a very long time! I kept my outfit simple underneath with black disco leggings, white jumper, white vans and a simple necklace to allow my coat to stand out and be the statement piece. I feel amazing it in! After months of searching for one I've roundly got one and it really brightens up my outfit compared to my black coat which darkens everything.

Pay Day

Today was payday for me and my friend so we decided to treat ourselves to a little retail therapy. Rather than going to the usual Exeter city centre we decided to venture a bit further to Bristol's Cribbs Causeway for a change of scenery.  The only down point for me about Cribbs Causeway is that there's no Urban Outfitters.

Pastel colours are absolutely everywhere right now and I couldn't help myself, I just had to treat myself to some amazing clothes. I finally managed to buy the pastel pink coat I've wanted for a very long time.. It was the last one on the rail so as soon as I saw it I grabbed it and to my relief it was my size. I bought mine from New Look along with all my other purchases of the day apart from the tights which I bought from H&M.

Painted To Perfection

I really enjoy painting my nails and changing them up every 3-4 days, especially since my Models Own order arrived which consists of nail varnish, nail art pens, nail varnish eraser pen and double coat varnish. I was lucky enough to order this lot when Models Own had a 50% discount on their website a few weeks ago so I got all this at a complete bargain... £30 worth for £15 including postage.

I feel that your nails complete your outfit, it's like the icing on the cake and if you were to change your nails half way through the day it would completely change your look for that day. With the range of shades and colours available to us now, along with a large range of top coats.. You can really create some unique styles on your finger tips. You just need to be creative and be willing to stand out.

One Step Closer To An Obsession

With so many new and amazing statement footwear and clothes out on the local high street and across online retailers it can be very easy to find yourself developing an obsession for certain items. For me I'm beginning to build an obsession with footwear, if I see something I really like I HAVE to have it no matter what the cost. I'm moving house on Monday and have packed all my shoes into THREE bin bags... Yes I did say three! I can't seem to part with any of them either.. When I think about selling a few I always find a reason to keep them for example; I'll think of an outfit they could go with or I'd think of an occasion for when they can be worn.

My most recent addition to my footwear collection are these beautiful and stunning shoes, originally in New Looks limited edition section however I swapped them on the Depop app. I've also ordered some black lace trim ankle socks from Topshop to wear with them, hopefully they will arrive in the post soon!

Glasses As Accessories

Recently I've been seeing a lot of people wearing glasses as accessories and have seen them for sale in a lot of the local high street retailers such as Topshop, River Island and Urban Outfitters. They do look amazing on and I thought I'd join in with the trend and see if I could carry them off as I have to wear glasses for using the computer anyway and was considering getting them in this style but wasn't sure if they would suit me or not. At the moment I don't wear glasses for the computers as I no longer like the ones I have.

What does everyone think? I swapped these tortoise shell glasses on Depop so if they don't suit me I haven't really lost much.

Unfortunate Loss

Sorry for the lack of posting yesterday, unfortunately it came to the time my grandad finally passed away after all the suffering he went through. So as you can imagine, yesterday was a pretty tough day for me and the last thing on my mind was updating my blog.

I'm currently up in Leicester with my family, I've taken time out of work for this weekend at such a difficult time.

This is going to be a short and sweet post and talking about time I thought I'd share my watch which I'm absolutely in love with but unfortunately it is starting to fall apart on the strap. I bought this a few months back from Urban Outfitters and have worn it everyday since. The compass design is very unique and immediately caught my eye in the store. Luckily for me it was in the sale and got it for a bargain of £10. The RRP is £24 which I cannot justify spending on this watch due to the amount it's now falling apart.

Surprises Are The Best When Giving

My boyfriend and I are under a lot of stress at the moment with only 2 weeks left before we move house so I decided to treat and surprise my boyfriend with a night away in a hotel. We stayed at the Premier Inn in Torquay which is only 40mins away from our house but it was the break we needed to help us relax. We had a view of the seafront so we were able to watch the big waves break over the sea wall from the warmth of our room during the strong storm, watching the road flood from the amount of water coming over. We had the most amazing meal last night, we shared a combo platter to start with which included calamari, chargrilled chicken chunks, garlic mushrooms, cheese on mini toast and spicy chicken wings then for the main I had chicken and mushroom risotto whilst my boyfriend Gilb had a Great Western Burger with unlimited chips.

We woke up this morning and enjoyed an unlimited breakfast.. A mixture of hot food, cereal, fresh fruit, toast, fruit juice and tea/coffee.

Struggle For Time

My work pattern is 6 days on working 10 hour shifts then 4 days off so on the days I am working I do not always find time to post on my blog. So sorry for the delay.

I did a bit of shopping with my sister at the start of the week and bought to beautiful skirts from Topshop in the sale.

One Step Forward

I got the long awaited email from PCA today with my next interview date which is 14th February! So pleased as I began to worry I wouldn't be asked back.. No reason just the way my mind started wandering.

Got chance to catch up with 2 of my friends on Saturday night, we went to the local shisha bar Al Farid to start the night of slow and steady, then went on to a few of the clubs. To my surprise in one of the clubs I used to go to all the time they now have a photobooth which I think is an amazing idea for a club and it was reasonably priced at £2 for a colour copy and a black and white copy.
