New Ink

Both yesterday and today I have working late shifts so have struggled to find time to get on here during the evenings. I still haven't heard anymore from Plymouth College of Art, but I haven't lost hope. I still believe they are considering me.

Yesterday I finally had an appointment at Sacred Tattoo's in Exeter to have my long awaited tattoo on my forearm done. It symbolises air and is there as a reminder to myself, in times when I'm feeling stressed, panicky or put in any situation I'm not comfortable with, to just take a deep breath, stay focused and to not allow my mind to wander.

Bargain Hunter

Tick, tock, tick, tock.. I'm still waiting to hear back from Plymouth College of Art, my UCAS is still telling me my application is being considered still, however I just want to know now so I know where my life's heading. I feel as though I'm in limbo at the moment, no idea what the future holds for me. I can't seem to picture what my life will be like this time next year. I know how I'd like it to look.. I'd like to be experiencing student life as I never got the chance when I was younger due to certain life situations I found myself in.

More deliveries arrived for me in the post today, a mixture of items from Depop and late night 99p bidding on eBay. I always find that the best time to bid on items is late at night. I choose 'ending soonest' at around 11pm and look at the items that are due to end throughout the night all the way up until 7am. Any item I like I place a bid of 99p on and wake up in the morning to find out whether or not I have won the item. This is the best way to get cheap bargains as hardly anyone is awake to bid on them and it's exciting to wake up to also!

In Love With Missguided

Having sent my email off yesterday to apply for the more appropriate course at Plymouth College of Art, I received an email back this morning confirming that my application has been received and is currently being dealt with so I am hoping to hear from the college tomorrow to give me my second interview date. The admin team have been absolutely amazing in helping me out with my situation and I'm grateful for everything they are doing for me. I'm also keeping track of my application through the UCAS website.

When I came home from work this evening I had a delivery from Missguided sat waiting for me! 

A beautiful jumpsuit and 2 pairs of tights! Absolutely love this jumpsuit, it is definitely my favourite item of clothing I own now AND it's monochrome which I'm mad about at the moment.

Interview Day

Well today has been a busy one but most importantly I had my interview at Plymouth College of Art today! Went really well and was advised to do a different course from the one I had originally applied for as it is more suitable for my age and it will also automatically secure a place on the degree I want to achieve. So now I'm applying for Level 0 Fashion Media and Marketing, leading onto BA (Hons) Fashion Media and Marketing. Fast track application and should have my next interview hopefully sometime next week. Fingers crossed.

Also have the dreading process of applying for student finance, but if I start now hopefully it'll be sorted my the time September arrives!

Final Pieces

It's the day before my interview at Plymouth College of Art. I've spent the afternoon scanning through every piece of art I have done over the years and believe the pieces I have chosen portray the best of my ability. I have chosen a mixture of drawings, paintings and photographs and have put them into my portfolio case.

Pretty In Pink

I feel my obsession for statement necklaces will start to get out of hand very soon. I currently have 10 statement necklaces; a mixture of brand new and second hand. I also have 2 more on the way in the post, I can't seem to control myself when I see one I like!

Monochrome

Today me and my boyfriend handed in our notice on the house we currently live in as he will be moving to Abu Dhabi in the next few weeks to work (I'm so proud of him) and I will be moving back to my parents until I start college. So we have a month to get the house sorted and furniture sold.. Very busy month ahead of us but exciting at the same time.

So today I went shopping in town with my friend, even though the weather wasn't great it was really nice to see her again after so long. There's still plenty of sales on the high street still which is always a good thing. We also went to Nandos for lunch which gave us a better chance of catching up on each other's gossip.

So I completely lost track of time last night and when I came to do my blog it was gone midnight so this post will cover both days.

Yesterday I had work which wasn't very exciting but only 4 hours so it wasn't too bad. Beforehand I spent my day drawing building my portfolio up ready for my interview at Plymouth College of Art.

Delivery!

So today a had a load of parcels delivered to me! So excited every time I get a parcel! I never know which item it's going to be from the large range of clothing I've been recently swapping on Depop.

The Fault In Our Stars

I've been hearing all this hype about a book by John Green called 'The Fault In Our Stars' so yesterday I decided to download it onto my Kindle app on my iPad. All I can say is it has been very difficult to put down, a very interesting read and I'm I've only spent 2 hours in total reading it so far and I only have 60 pages left. I'm definitely going to be reading other books by John Green, he really knows how to keep you wanting more.

Back To Reality

So today was my first day back at work.. Took me 4 hours to read over 400 emails! By the time I had read them all it was time to go home.. So all in all a very easy and relaxed day back at work. Was really nice to see all the familiar faces along with loads of new faces!

After work I decided to get into some comfy clothes after getting up at 5.55am for the first time in several months, it literally took all the energy out of me.

Shining Bright

Today is my last day off work.. I go back tomorrow after 2 months off. But it has been one hell of a good day. Got lots of items from Depop in the post, saw family and had pizza takeout with my boyfriend... But the best thing of all.. Tax rebate through the post! Did not expect that at all!

Hear Me Roar

I'm over the moon right now!! Got an email from Plymouth College of Art with a interview date for the course I've applied for 'Foundation Degree In Art And Design'. Cannot describe my excitement! I've got 2 weeks to build my portfolio up a bit more!

I've been seeing this quote absolutely everywhere.. Facebook, Instagram, Depop. I totally agree with this.. Dress all in black with nothing but silver or gold jewellery to accessorise the outfit! Absolutely amazing!

Bold And Bright

It's my twin sisters wedding in a couple of months and have been in search of a dress for the evening all day. Want to make sure I get the right one! Already have my dress sorted for the ceremony which is a maxi.. I'd love to have a shorter dress for dancing the night away!

Spring In My Step

With the miserable weather across the UK recently I thought I'd try and cheer myself up with these floral jeans, to brighten up my mood. Been a day of tea drinking and seeing family.

Rainy Day, Lazy Day

Well last night was horrendous with the awful storm which decided to show itself. Strong gusts of wind, rain and hail. Today has not been much better.. Dark, dull and constant rain.

Haven't had the urge to venture out at all. My day has consisted of cups of tea, daytime tv and browsing for bargains.

Back To Normality

Now the festive period has come to an end it's that time again where everyone has to go back to work, back to their every day lives. I'm guessing many of you out there have made New Years resolutions.. I myself am not one for doing this however this year I just want to ensure I do a post a day on this blog :) whatever your New Years resolution is.. Don't give up on it!
